What you need to know about Forklift Training

Am I the only one who has the problem with get ting up and going to work. What is wrong with me?

I fight with myself all the time to get up and go to work. I hate working in construction but thier realy isn't anything else realy out thier. I graduated highschool and thats it. I have my forklift certification but the big three are doing so bad right know that none of the smaller factories connected with the big three are realy hiring right know. I'm 23 and I feal like I'm worthless because I have'nt found a career yet. I want to get my certification as a back hoe or excavator operator but I need higher than a regular licence to get it. And since I've been on this job, only two months, I've been late constantly and the last couple of weeks its been like once every week that I would stay at home do to my own choice. I'm not over weight I'm actualy in pritty good shape. Whats going on? What should I do?

The only problem here is that you are in the wrong field and you are not enjoying your work that is why you dont lookforward to getting up and go for work, because there is nothing you find interesting there. Be a working student and do a course of your dreams and one day put yourself in the job that you will be looking forward to get to. It happens to everyone who work for the sake of money and no interest in what they do.

  3. No many people have trouble getting up early. Most have trained there body this way although you can reset it by forcing it to wake up.

You can also find that if you drink alot of carbonated drinks (soda, pop, coke, whatever they call it around where you live) that if you stop drinking that and start drinking more water or tea that you will wake up alot easier in the morning.

Truly I have never researched why that one works but I know that an ex-boss of mine told me that it was happening to him. So I tried it and it worked well for me also.. So I know that it works. Just not why it works.

  5. maybe you are in the wrong job, go and finds your ideal job even if it means go back to study, you seem bored and time does not stand still for no one go and get advice on what you can do to reach your goal, more than wasting time in a job you are not happy with.

  8. You are hardly alone.

I struggle with my doona each and every work day.

I am 35 and in a dead end job and still beat myself up because I haven't found a career that I love, but you know what? Who cares? I bring home the bacon and my family and I live a reasonably good life.

What's wrong with working construction? Tradies are very very talented. If you want your back hoe licence, then GET IT!

I don't know where you are, but in Melbourne, I'm finding it harder and harder to get out of bed the colder it gets.

Good luck to you, whether you stay in construction or develop your own building company. True success is happiness!

  9. Sounds like time for a job move. If their isn't anything there (to pursue as a career), then maybe a "move" move. Plenty of job opportunities out there requiring forklift cert. Warehouses, shipping/receiving, inventory control….just a few categories to get you started. Monster.com is a good start.

Just as a little insight, I moved away from Oklahoma to Phoenix for pretty much the same reason. Started out here working for Target (stocking shelves) which led to forklift certification which led to other jobs. Moved up through shipping/receiving and inventory control jobs in the semiconductor field into more mechanical positions to where I am now (at age 26): working for Intel as a Facilities Equipment Technician.

P.S. — I'm going on a GED with NO college degree. Life IS possible.

  10. There are a lot of reasons for not being able to get moving in the morning. Lack of sleep, poor nutrition, lack of exercise or stress are a few. Take a look at how you are taking care of yourself. Try eating healthier and exercise then sit down and look at your goals in life. make a plan on how to get there. go apply for your license and take the test. what is stopping you? Only you hold yourself back from doing what you want yo do in life.
