Not 100% sure about California laws but OSHA requires all forklift operators to be certified at the place of employment. Therefore, it does not matter if you have a certification or not, a new employer would have to re-certify you again. For forklift training check your local community college.

OSHA regualtions require retraining every time an operator moves to a different worksite. If you’re a construction worker that could be a real pain. When we do training we provide employers with a form they can use to recertify their employees at each new jobsite. If you work in a factory or warehouse and move to a different facility or change jobs you would need to get recertified. If you had been certifiedby Quality Certifications, Inc. you’d simply have to call us and we would take care of everything. Call us at 866-302-3787
