Anybody know where I can get a forklift license/certification in Beaverton, Oregon?? I'm guessing it's at the DMV but I'm not sure.
I need it for a job.
Not usually at the DMV; generally at the roadworks/public works division, totally a different thing, dear. Try here.

why would you need a lic. on something that remains on private property, is unregistered/uninsured for public roads ?

No, it wouldn't be at the DMV. A certification is something some employers require as proof of ability to operate preoperly, and most importantly, safely.
Look in the phone book for a forklift dealer, like Hyster or whoever, and give them a call to see if they know where you can obtain it. It doesn't cost much, and takes a couple of hours.
If they don't have the answer, then try the Employment Development Department.
Good luck.

Try your local trade schools

What you are after is a OSHA Forklift Certification, usually your job will train you and have you tested for that, but like stated before you can go thru a local trade school or even a community college to be certified.
