I live in Canada Quebec and besides the certification to drive a LPG forklift do you absolutely need a valid drivers license to drive a LPG forklift on a public road on is a learners permit also acceptable?
The reason is there is an extra loading and unloading area at my place of work for flatbed trailers and that road also serves as a public road ( trucks come and go) and with proper training to drive an LPG forklift do you need a driver's license or is a learners permit acceptable to operate the forklift.
Any help is appreciated.
I would call the Quebec provincial police and ask them…
I would think you would need a slow moving vehicle sign on the forklift. But I don't think you would need a driver's licence. Farmers kids have driven tractors on the side of the road for years with no licence, so I don't see why this would be any different…
Check with the police though…
